The Bureau of Labor Statistics latest workplace data shows that 2.5 million workplace injuries and illnesses were reported in 2024, more than 5000 of those were fatal. Breaking that down, 2 out of every 100 employees will become injured on the job in some way.
Training your employees and providing them with the knowledge to act quickly in the event of a heart attack, a choking incident, seizure, a slip or fall, a bleeding incident, or any number of other hazards, including, sadly, workplace violence, that may occur, can be the difference between life and death for the affected teammate.
Providing your employees with the necessary life support skills, no matter the setting (office, job site, warehouse, manufacturing facility, etc.) allows your team to take important steps prior to the arrival of medical professionals.
